Description

An authentic Leslie simulator will be stereo and possess a depth of realism you’re unlikely to find in a cheaper, mono pedal.

A Uni-Vibe clone almost as large as the original running at 18v and featuring hand-selected, hermetically sealed photocells, lightbulb lamp matched to original spec. Fully hand soldered and hand-drilled, the pedal features the same controls as the original, and a bigger speed knob that can be controlled with your foot. While not a full replication of the 1960s classic, the Good Vibes does sport some of the same distinct features – like utilizing photocells to achieve modulation. An added feature is increased headroom, so this pedal can fit right into virtually any rig. Optional expression pedal (assignable to Speed or Intensity) adds even more control. I think this is the category I own the most examples of here - with 5 of the featured candidates in my collection - CBA Wombtone, CTC Cyclone, Alexander La Calavera, Boss PH-1R, and MXR Phase 95 Mini. I'd quite like the Mu-Tron Phasor here and Subdecay Quasar, but by and well I have good overage for now - I also own the rather more vibey - Zvex Vibrophase.

Mooer Soul Shiver Modulation Pedal Overview

For the Minis it's a 3-way between Malekko Omicron Phase Shifter, Mooer Ninety Orange, and the MXR Phase 95. The last mentioned being the obvious shoe-in. In fact with MXR being the heritage Phaser brand - the Phase 95, and Phase 99 are my favourite varieties over the classic 90 and 45. These are all the same size, and all have relatively low current draw, although because of their digital nature, many of these are better served by isolated power-supply rather than relying on a OneSpot daisy-chain as I have frequently found out. A faithful, hand-made recreation of the original Uni-Vibe, with updates to the power supply for a lower noise floor. I got this unit looking for an affordable and compact way to add some character to my sound, in the form of a chorus, and what I gained in return was more that I was bargaining for.

This is another category that I've covered in part this year - and in fact I updated my #4 slot from the Mu-Tron Micro-Tron III to the recent Dr Scientist Dusk Dynamic Filter. I fully intend to get the Flower Pedals Hosta too - that is somewhat next on the list alongside the slightly larger BB-size Spaceman Effects Artemis Variable-State Filter. A stereo, digital recreation of the famous analog original, this one is a little darker than many of the others. Tone Print enabled, but no expression control. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. Except, towards the end of the decade, some guy named Jimi Hendrix, and then some other guy named David Gilmour grew fond of it, and started using it live and on what came to be a few immortal records (notably, you can hear it in Jimi Hendrix’s “ Machine Gun” and in the arpeggio-ed guitar in Pink Floyd’s “ Breathe“ – go to 1′.13″ in the video). We also included a list of Vintage Models featuring valued discontinued pedals that deliver an inspired take on the classic Uni-Vibe, and one with a selection of stompboxes that combine Rotary with other effects. Pros: It sounds just like the original unit, solidly built, with a slightly smaller footprint; true bypass option. | Cons: Rather pricey; the expression pedal has a proprietary input that only works with the company’s accessory. Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty
